Paul Killingback – Chairman
Paul has lived in Oulton for 25 years living in what was the Bird in Hand Public House on The Street. He has a family connection with the area as coincidentally his great grandmother kept the other Public House in Oulton – The Pitman’s Arms – many years ago. He knows the area well as his maternal grandparents farmed in nearby Wood Dalling for many years and as a teenager he used to go beating during the shooting season around Heydon and Wood Dalling.
Paul has a keen interest in farming and rural way of life and an awareness of both the impacts and benefits that changes in a rural area can bring and balancing this with the concerns of the wider community. The history of Oulton, and particularly the RAF airfield, is a significant interest and Paul is keen to ensure that the current and future generations of parishioners remember the part our parish played in the war.
Paul spent 31 years working for a large financial services company based in Norwich, whilst helping to raise three children – all of whom have successfully followed his wife into the front line of the NHS. More recently, Paul has been self employed in property maintenance working for individual private clients and also other professional tradesmen.
